Actor Prakash Raj to make his directorial debut
Ace actor Prakash Raj best known for his villainous roles will soon make his directorial debut. The film titled Tadka, is said to be a remake of the actor’s famous Tamil film Un Samayal Arayil. Actors Taapsee Pannu and Ali Fazal have been roped in for pivotal roles in the film.
Actor Taapsee says, “It’s so exciting that Prakash sir will finally direct me. I have acted with him in two Telugu movies before and we had a great time working with each other. His energy is infectious. The icing on the cake being that I will get to share screen space with Nana Patekar. I have seen the film in south but a lot has changed in it now to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi audience and I’m nothing short of thrilled to be doing this role with such an amazing star cast.”
The film will also star Nana Patekar and Shriya Saran, and is set to be shot in Goa starting 1st week of May. The plot of the film is on a cross connection which changes the fates of two complete strangers. It is a funny riot of changed identities.
Actor Ali Fazal adds, “I have always admired Prakash Sir’s work, be it down South or here. Being directed by him is going to be an adventure I look forward to. Its one of the most endearing stories I have had the chance to work on. Also blessed with lovely co-stars like Tapsee, Nana Patekar and Shreya Saran.”
