Former Australian cricketer-turned-actor Brett Lee is in India to promote his upcoming film, UnIndian. As he awaits the special screening of the Australian romantic-comedy flick in the country, he went live on #fame with his co-star Tannishtha Chatterjee as they talked about their chemistry in the film. This is the first time that an international celebrity has gone live on #fame, further establishing the power and popularity of the medium for global stars to connect with a young, tech-savvy audience. Brett Lee’s live beam was a hit with fans as he spoke a few lines in Hindi, taught viewers some bowling tricks and shared his fitness secrets and more.

It was at 17 that Brett Lee first visited India and the love for the country continued during his cricketing career. He said, “I love the people here and love the Indian culture.” Although he’s not well-versed in Hindi, he understands the language and has mouthed a few lines in Hindi in the film too! In his upcoming film, Brett Lee plays an Australian teacher, while Tannishtha plays an Indian single mother, Meera. When asked about his association with singer Asha Bhosale in the film, he said, “She’s an absolute star and a wonderful person with a great voice.”
