I knew my role has limited screen space – Madhurima Tuli
Debutant actor Madhurima Tuli calls her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Baby a ‘dream come true’. The actor reveals that a night before the shoot she couldn’t sleep because of excitement and nervousness of working with Akshay Kumar.
Talking about her experience during the making of Baby Madhurima says, “When I went for the shoot, they made me feel very comfortable. Akshay is very down to earth, humble and a disciplined guy. Initially, I thought I am working with a super star, but the way Akshay behaved with me, it just felt as if he is my buddy. Akshay used to crack many jokes and he made me laugh a lot during the shoot.”
Madhurima plays Anjali, a supportive wife, who can’t go weak because she knows her husband is on a mission.
A television actor who is now getting into films, Madhurima says, both Akshay and Neeraj Pandey were the reason she immediately signed on the film. She says, “I knew my role has limited screen space. I play a mother to two kids so people advised me against it. But if I think as a new comer, if I lose on to this opportunity, I am losing a big film.”
Talking about how she bagged the role she says, “I have been a familiar face on television and I was called for an audition which the makers liked and I was on board.” The actor who was a part of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi earlier’ says, “I do not have any scene where the plot required my character to do any action.
The actor admits her nervousness before the film’s release. She says, “I am nervous about my part in the film. Also, I don’t put too many expectations when I work. I just let it go with the flow. I just hope that the film does well.”
Having worked with Akshay Kumar in her debut film, the actor opens up on her bucket list. “I think any debutante has expectations to work with big stars. I am lucky to have got an opportunity to work with Akshay Kumar in my first film. Now I am keen to work with Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan who are my favourites.”
