Catch Imtiaz Ali in conversation with Nasreen Munni Kabir at Film Bazaar
The Knowledge Series session will explore the freshness that Imtiaz Ali brought in with Socha Na Tha... at the Film Bazaar held in Goa from Nov 20-24, 2016
The 10th edition of NFDC Film Bazaar held from November 20th to 24th 2016 at Marriott, Goa will have a series of interesting and engaging ‘Knowledge Series’ sessions this year.
Knowledge Series consists of specially curated presentations, lectures and panel discussions with key decision makers and market drivers of the film industry.
One of the key highlights of the Knowledge Series this year will be Imtiaz Ali’s conversation with the London based film author Nasreen Munni Kabir in the session ‘Makeover of the Bollywood Love Story’
The session aims to explore the freshness that Imtiaz Ali brought in with Socha Na Tha… sticking always to the love story at hand, the drama emerging from the mess that the love birds themselves created out of their confused selves.
The first ever fun Break Up song on Hindi Celluloid became the ‘in thing’ to do further redefining filmdom’s approach to the pain of separation and eventually the Love Story template. And of course travel was there… throughout!
Nasreen Munni Kabir will explore the director with the drop-dead looks who could easily be mistaken to be the star of his film! And what makes this romantic mind tick!
The Knowledge Series consists of specially curated presentations, lectures and panel discussions with key decision makers and market drivers of the film industry.
Over multiple sessions during the four days of Film Bazaar, the Knowledge Series covers a wide range of topics including (but not limited to) the evolution of content through changing socio–economic structures, expanding genres, conventional and innovative platforms of distribution, various emerging co-production possibilities, international collaborations and treaties, and the art of navigating various film festivals and markets.
Among the speakers are business unit heads of major media corporations (studios/producers/distributors etc.), top executives of organizations connected with the film industry, independent aggregators and content providers from across the world.
