The Ghazi Attack is an Indian bilingual Submarine based naval warfare film directed by debutant Sankalp Reddy. The story is about an executive naval officer of the Indian Submarine S21 and his team who remain underwater for 18 days.

The film is based on the true incidents on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistan Submarine during the Indo-Pak 1971 war. PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainment is producing the film. Karan Johar will distribute its Hindi version.

The film stars Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu in the lead along with Kay Kay Menon, Satyadev Kancharana, Atul Kulkarni, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Rahul Singh and Akshay Mittal. Rana will be seen playing the Navy officer and Taapsee will portray a refugee.

“Dharma Productions is proud to partner with AA films for The Ghazi Attack – India’s first war-at-sea film!”  , says Karan Johar.

The Ghazi Attack is scheduled for a worldwide release on 17 February 2017.
