KungFu Yoga passed by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate!
Sonu Sood’s upcoming Indo-Chinese production, KungFu Yoga featuring the global action superstar Jackie Chan, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur has been cleared by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate.
A screening for the censor board had been held a few days back and the board passed the movie, deeming it eligible for family viewing.
A source says, “The CBFC made one verbal cut regarding a remark pertaining to Buddhism, and didn’t touch a single shot in the film. They granted KungFu Yoga a ‘U/A’ certificate and agreed to view the film in other languages.”
Praising the film and its Indian producer-actor Sonu Sood, Pahlaj Nihalani says, “At a time when corporate houses have taken over our movie business, it is commendable that Sonu has brought this big Jackie Chan film to India all on his own. It’s a fun film, clean and enjoyable. Jackie already has a huge fan following in India. But Sonu will have new fans in China after the film releases. We saw no reason to cut anything.”
Sonu Sood, who shares the screen space with Jackie Chan for the first time, is proud to present the Indo-Chinese production in India releasing in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Presented and distributed in India by Sonu Sood’s Shakti Sagar Sood Productions, the highly-anticipated multi-lingual action adventure comedy directed by Stanley Tong releases on 3rd February, 2017.
