Premiere of 1869 – India’s first period short film
1869 is India’s first period short film set in the 19th century. Directed by adman cum filmmaker Pranav Harihar Sharma, it is the story of three unlikely witnesses who embark on a mysterious quest to find a piece of history.
Talking about the film, Pranav says, “1869 is the best story that I have written so far in the 16 years of my writing career. And 1869 is the most difficult film that I have directed till date in my directorial career. I’m confident that the film will pleasantly surprise the audience with its unexpected climax.”
1869 is a joint production of Gang Motion Pictures and Inorbit Bachha Bollywood, which is a yearly property of Inorbit mall that gives children acting opportunities.
The film features Raghubir Yadav, Vedanth Dattani, Kabir Sajid, Abhishek Pathak, Kiran Khoje, Beena Banerjee, Vijay Kumar and Chris Peter.
1869 will have its exclusive premiere on Oct 1 2016 at Inox, Inorbit Mall, Malad.
It will then be submitted for various international and national film festivals. An international premier has also been lined up for 1869.
