Rituparno’s Taak Jhaank at 19th Kolkata Film Fest
The eight day long festival will also see the presence of the veteran Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Shahrukh Khan.
“Ritu da is no more with us. But he continues to live with his immortal creations. His unreleased film Taak Jhaank (Sunglass) will be screened for the first time in the inaugural ceremony of the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival on that day,” said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Ghosh’s satire film, Taak Jhaank on magic realism stars two Bollywood veterans Jaya Bachchan and Naseeruddin Shah together for the very first time.
Maker of several acclaimed and award-winning films, Ghosh died on May 30 following a heart attack.
Late Rituparno Ghosh is known for his films like Choker Bali, Raincoat, The Last Lear, Chitrangada, Abohomaan and many other Hindi and Bengali movie projects.
